Common Ground to Premier at
the Huan Tie Art Museum in Beijing

The 2008 Common Ground Collection will premier at the Haun Tie Art Museum in the Huan Tie art district, Beijing. The opening reception will take place on November 5th 2008 and will remain on exhibit through November 15th, 2008. In addition to exhibiting works from renowned artists from over 40 countries, Common Ground will host several filmmakers, composers, and performing artists with their works also focused on the environment.

Chinese Artist Submissions Are Under Review

The Chinese Collection of the Common Ground art is currently being curated by a team led by Duan Jia, Professor at the Beijing Film Academy, and an accomplished digital artist, film director and animator. 20 Chinese artists will be selected to represent the ‘Host” country for the premier of the Common Ground Collection in 2008.

Our Galleries are OPEN

Over 1,000 digital art submissions from 40 different countries were provided to Common Ground for consideration in the 2008 Collection. Artists throughout history have played a vital role in shaping the 'world-view' of their day. We’ve invited artists from all over the globe to use the expressive language they know best - visual art and design - to dramatically demonstrate their concerns for our shared environment.

Our panel of Celebrated Artists and Common Ground Jurors have selected the finalists. We will add to these galleries with our special Chinese Collection in time for our 2008 launch event exhibit in Beijing. Please click here to join our community and be kept abreast of these developments as they are announced.
